Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or otherwise using Saltus (the "Service"), operated by TVDH Ltd ("Saltus," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Saltus connects to third-party developer tools you authorize (currently GitHub and Jira, with additional integrations planned) and uses automated processes, including AI-based text generation, to produce written summaries ("Reports") of your activity on those tools, on a scheduled and on-demand basis.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use Saltus. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Attempt to access another user's account or data without authorization
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying infrastructure
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except where permitted by law
- Use the Service to generate content that is defamatory, fraudulent, or intended to misrepresent your work to a third party (such as an employer or client) in bad faith
5. Third-Party Connections
By connecting a third-party service (such as GitHub or Jira) to Saltus, you authorize us to access data from that service, on a read-only basis, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to authorize such access, including with respect to any employer-owned or client-owned repositories or accounts you connect. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services we integrate with.
6. AI-Generated Content — Important Disclaimer
Reports generated by Saltus are produced using automated, AI-based processes applied to data from your connected accounts. Saltus does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of any Report for a particular purpose. AI-generated summaries may contain errors, omissions, or misinterpretations of underlying activity.
You are solely responsible for reviewing any Report before relying on it or sharing it with any third party — including but not limited to using it in a performance review, sharing it with a client, or submitting it as part of a job application. Saltus is a tool to assist your own reflection and communication; it is not a substitute for your own judgment or verification of the facts.
7. Intellectual Property
Saltus and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by TVDH Ltd and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the underlying data from your connected accounts and of the Reports generated for you. You grant Saltus a limited license to process that data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
8. Fees and Payment
Saltus is currently offered on an early-access basis. If and when paid subscription plans are introduced, applicable fees, billing terms, and cancellation policies will be presented to you at the time of purchase and are incorporated into these Terms by reference. Payments will be processed by a third-party payment processor; Saltus does not directly store your full payment card details.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in unlawful conduct, or for any other reason with or without notice, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TVDH Ltd AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING RELIANCE ON ANY AI-GENERATED REPORT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TVDH Ltd from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights, including rights related to data you connect from third-party services.
13. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be communicated to you by email or through a notice within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Federal Republic of Nigeria, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
15. General Provisions
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Saltus regarding the Service.
